The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise may feature a departure from what is usual in the series, it’s set in space.
2016’s Call of Duty will offer space combat between battling sci-fi groups in the far flung future.
Previous entries in the franchise such as Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 have been set in the near-future, but this year’s Call of Duty will be firmly placed in sci-fi territory.
This comes by the way of EuroGamer, which adds the first details from this appeared over the weekend from serial industry source Shinobi. Eurogamer also says this information tallies with reports they have independently heard.
The game is being developed by Infinity Ward, and will not serve as a sequel for the developer’s previous title, Ghosts, which received mixed responses by fans.
