After being dropped by Square Enix, developer IO Interactive has spent time as an independent developer. They are remaining independent, but have reached a deal with Warner Bros Entertainment to publish and distribute the all new HITMAN: Definitive Edition, which will be available physically for PS4 and PS4 Pro on May 15th, 2018. The announcement came in a press release.
The surprise release is right around the corner. HITMAN: Definitive Edition will offer the base game’s seven locations, all additional missions and costumes that came with the Game of the Year Edition, and a few new costumes inspired by properties such as Freedom Fighters and Kane & Lynch.
HITMAN’s episodic adventure began in 2016. Each of the game’s six episodes received generally positive reviews on PS4, mostly in the 70s, with the highlight being Sapienza‘s score of 84.
