What makes the Assassin’s Creed franchise so popular isn’t just its pretty graphics or free-running gameplay. What makes Assassin’s Creed great is that its scope is vast and as it has often been said: “History is our playground”. The plot is such that every game and take place in a totally different time period and in a totally different part of the world which essentially gives the series unlimited potential. We’ve explored the war ravaged Middle East during the Third Crusade, we’ve enjoyed renaissance Italy, and we’ve sparked a revolution in the 1700’s that led to America’s independence.

As I said, the scope is unlimited and we could go anywhere in future games, but where? In this article published by KontentPort and written by Tom Roach, you can read about 5 settings for future Assassin’s Creed games that would be awesome. From Victorian London to ancient Egypt, there are some great ideas here and I for one hope we get to explore some of these places. You can read Tom’s article HERE.
