Warner Bros has released a press statement revealing that Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor will now be released one week earlier than it was originally stated. The game will now be released on September 30th in North America on consoles, October 2nd on PC, and October 3rd in Europe.

The press release cited the reason for the new release date was “based on hearing fans’ on how excited fans were for the game, though some are speculating it is because October is going to have a lot of big releases. The game was originally set to be released the same day as Driveclub, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Alien: Isolation.

Shadow of Mordor is set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
