Tekken 7 has been confirmed, and it uses Unreal Engine 4. “Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire” said Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada, in a leaked IGN News video. Tekken 7 is slated for current gen consoles.

No more details have been confirmed, but for fans of the series, confirmation of the game’s existence is enough, and it will be the first entry in the series to hit the PS4. Tekken 6 was in development hell for quite some time after the launch of the PS3, but, by the sound of things, the fine folks at Namco Bandai have more confidence this time around, with the latest Unreal Engine.

The supposed ability to port Tekken 7 to any platform with relative ease, should bode well for the inevitable Vita port of the game, assuming one is planned. A release date has not been revealed, but rest assured, Tekken 7 is on the way.
