The latest game in the Hatsune Miku franchise, Project Diva F 2nd, was announced for the West back in March. Like the first game, it will be released on both the PS3 and Vita. For fans of the series, which gained so much popularity outside of Japan that its games were among the most imported, the stateside release of the first Project Diva F game was a huge milestone, since it was made available in stores in North America and Europe, with English menus, among other things.
Unfortunately, one area where the staff behind the localization of the first game could have improved, is with the subtitles, which only translated the lyrics of the songs into roomaji. However, on July 3rd, it was announced that Project Diva F 2nd would have proper English subtitles, and today, a new trailer was released showcasing the one thing that could have made the first Project Diva F even better. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd is slated for the fall, and for the first time, non-Japanese speakers will be able to get the gist of the lyrics.
