A few weeks ago, a new controller from HORI for the PS4 was revealed. The Japanese accessory maker teamed up with Sony to design an officially licensed controller that was created with younger gamers in mind. The result is the Mini Wired Gamepad for the PS4.
This controller has all the buttons of a standard Dualshock 4, but it has a much smaller and chunkier design that makes it easier for younger gamers to grip. The size isn’t the only thing that’s been reduced though; a number of features from the Dualshock 4 has been ditched. The light bar, headphone jack, speaker, vibration and motion sensors have all been removed, in addition to the lack of wireless connectivity. This brings the price down to a relatively cheap $30; a standard Dualshock 4 usually goes for $60.
The HORI Mini Wired Gamepad is available now on Amazon.
